Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig 21st September, 1983). 21, 1983) is an acclaimed American actress. Most notably, she was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, and Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Following the divorce of her parents the actress left Worthington Ohio in order to settle in Los Angeles. It was a struggle to get by and was offered her first part in the acting world as Rachel's Room's leading character. The television film Murder in Greenwich where she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the lead actress on Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace decided to leave the show to focus on her professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day adaptation that the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part in Lost for two more episodes. This included the series final. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season that aired between 2013 and 2014. She plays Faith she is a fan and muse of the stars. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager, she played small parts in her father's movies and was co-starring with her sister in Donnie Darko which is a cult classic. She also starred as a character on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in both the drama Sherrybaby (2005) and in the romance comedy Secretary (2002). The two films received acclaim from critics. Following several commercially-successful films, such as World Trade Center in 2006 her fame grew when she played Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). The year 2009 was the time she was nominated as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mother in Crazy Heart. The following year, she starred in comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). In addition to her role as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she was also seen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles include her character as the primary protagonist of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). The debut of Gyllenhaal as a director and writer was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psychological thriller that won her an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. The film also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
