Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song in 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. This album peaked at 8 on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca is the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he sang a duet. He sang a duet 2021 alongside TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. He learned how to play the guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was a young child. Although he initially wanted to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singer would alter his direction in life.
